Maybe interesting for if you are in the neighbourhood: / from july 26th till august 20th i will have a solo exhibition with the title Vice versa (same for Peter Dittmar from Sydney-Australia) in Tonyraka artgallery in Mas (near Ubud) in Bali. / The exhibition will be opened by Agung Rai (founder of the ARMA museum in Ubud) and show an overview with selected works during the last 10 years: Indonesia – France – Holland – Indonesia, higlighting my recent works from the last 2 years. Kinderdijk - Forgotten Postcard by Alison Cornford-Matheson
I created this image this afternoon in attempt to combat a bout of the blahs and a lack of inspiration. Because I really liked how my last Forgotten Postcard worked out, I thought I’d try to continue the series. This image was taken back in February, on a grey day, at Kinderdijk in the Netherlands. The windmills of Kinderdijk are one of the best known Dutch tourist sites. They were placed on the list of UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 1997. Like me, the original image needed a bit of perking up. I hope you like the results.

Still life? by Gili Orr
Started experimenting with Photoshop lately. Here I just added an edge to a boring still life photo with the use of “Liquify”. Now it is not still anymore, but the dead peel comes dangerously to life… /

"Venice of the North" by Gili Orr
Giethoorn is a village in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is located in the municipality of Steenwijkerland, about 5 km southwest of Steenwijk. Giethoorn used to be a carfree town known in the Netherlands as “Venice of the North” or “Venice of the Netherlands”. It became famous, especially after 1958, as the Dutch film maker Bert Haanstra made his famous comedy “Fanfare” there. Therefore, Giethoorn is an internationally well-known tourist attraction in the Netherlands. In the old part of the village, there were no roads (nowadays there is a cycling path), and all transport was done by water over one of the many canals. The lakes in Giethoorn were formed by peat unearthing. (Wikipedia)
