A photo taken from the car park at Corfe. The day itself was quite grey and flat, but bringing this photo into Black and White created an entirely new mood. Corfe Castle is in the South East of Dorset in England.

This started out as a full 360 spherical panorama (which you can see here). I have cropped it down vertically – there is still a full 360 horizontal view, and resized from the origial 20000×10000 for upload. Taken using a Nodal Ninja tripod mount, the individual imaged were stitched together using PTgui with a final tidy up using Photoshop. Portland Bill, Dorset. A field of poppies appeared on Spreadeagle Hill near Shaftesbury in October that I had never seen there before. The sun was setting and it was very poignant with remembrance Sunday not very far away

Look Out Post One from the archives … This shot shows the NCI (National Coastwatch Institution) lookout station at St Aldhelm’s (or St Alban’s Head) along the ‘Jurassic Coast’, not far from the village of Worth Matravers, Dorset, England. This area was heavily quarried for its much sought after Purbeck stone. On the horizon (left of shot) you can see the unmistakeable wedge shape of the Isle of Portland, also renowned for the quality of its stone.
