The Dorset and East Devon Coast World Heritage Site is England’s first natural World Heritage Site – it is known as The Jurassic Coast. It covers 95 miles of truly stunning coastline from East Devon to Dorset, with rocks recording 185 million years of the Earth’s history. World Heritage status was achieved because of the site’s unique insight into the Earth Sciences as it clearly depicts a geological ‘walk through time’ spanning the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. Created by using 5 bracketed images, processed in Photomatix Pro 3. Had this one printed and is now sitting on one my living room walls. BEST VIEWED LARGER

The impressive sandstone Cliffs at Burton Bradstock in Dorset. A sea mist was coming in giving the cliffs an eerie quality. Thank you to the kind people of the Mood and Ambience group and the Dorset, England group for featuring my work Jurassic Cliffs One hour later the sun went down beyond the cliffs…. /
Another nice shot at Lyme Regis.

Dorset Cottage Another example of a Dorset “Chocolate Box” cottage. / This one is not far from Witchampton, close to the entrance to Crichel Park. Shot on a walk around the Horton area a few weeks ago, followed by Sunday lunch at the Horton Inn. I’ve used the “Poster Edges” filter from Photoshop Elements 6.0, which I use occasionally and seems to work very well. Date: 7th June 2009

Summer Evening on the Stour A shot of the River Stour in Dorset, England looking across from Wick Ferry towards Christchurch Priory. With a length of 88 kilometres (55 miles), the Stour is not one of England’s longest rivers, but with its bridges, mills and jetties, it has its beauty spots, not least at its starting point (Stourhead) and where it joins the Avon at Christchurch before flowing out into the English Channel. Headland Trio Three vintage ferry boats, used to carry passengers from Tuckton Bridge down the River Stour and across Christchurch Harbour to Mudeford Sands in Dorset, England. Left to right they are the Headland Belle, Headland Maid and Headland Pal. Date: 26th June 2009
Feeding time as I arrived at Abbotsbury Dorset- so assume this is the self appointed leader of the gang- ‘here it comes guys’ – eight minutes late- and did they let us know it- never heard swans growl before!! In defence now- this was using the new camera outside for the first time in the brightest of sunshine so I couldn’t see the screen or the dials – so already blaming my tools as any good tradesman!! Hope you like!! Fuji S2000HD Finepix Digital Camera Featured in the group ‘Image Writing’ June 2009
