  • Forest Haze by Ciaran O'Hagan

May 08: Again the forest ground is a purple haze from the Bluebells. I love the lightning on the field in the background. It’s the colours that you associate with spring. Briantspuddle Forest, Dorset.

  • Willows are Beginning To Weep! by naturelover

This little stone bridge was built in the 16 century and spans the River Winterbourne in Sturminster Marshall, surrounded by fields and greenery it is a particularly pretty part of the village. Spring is here, trees are beginning to leaf, the sun is shining (most of the time), / and the sight of willows reaching for the water is so picturesque.

  • Rocky Valley Waterfall by cwwphotography

A photograph of a waterfall at Rocky Valley. A walk along the public footpath at Rocky Valley which is situated between Boscastle and Tintagel in Cornwall, and towards the end where the stream meets the sea lies this waterfall. A careful clamber down the rocks enabled me to get the position for this shot. A slow shutter speed was used to create the flowing effect of the water.

  • Corfe Castle Village by Anne Staub

Corfe Castle is a ruined castle, village and civil parish in the English county of Dorset. The castle dates back to the 11th century, and commands a gap in the Purbeck Hills on the route between Wareham and Swanage. Even to this day, all road traffic to and from the Swanage area must pass below the battlements of the castle. The picturesque village of Corfe Castle lies in the gap below the castle, and is some eight kilometres (five miles) south-east of Wareham, and the same distance west of Swanage. Both the current main A351 road to Swanage, and the Swanage Railway, thread their way through the gap and the village. The civil parish of Corfe Castle stretches across the width of the Isle of Purbeck, with coasts facing both the English Channel and Poole Harbour. It therefore includes sections of both the low lying sandy heathland that lies to the north of the castle, and the rugged Jurassic Coast upland to the south. The name “Corfe” is derived from the Saxon word for gap. All photographs and artworks in this portfolio are copyrighted and owned by the artist, Anne Staub.
