They loved to look down from the chalet at the town below. How beautiful it all was in the christmas twilight shadowed against the snow. The colors the moon made dark and violet blue. The light from the windows showing through. Wrapped in each others arms their peace and love to keep them warm. They held each other tight from Twilight Christmas through Christmas night. /

Yule / Winter Solstice Yule is the Celtic Festival of the birth of the sun. Winter Solstice is the shortest day and the longest night, but from this day forward the light will grow rather than diminish and the year turns once again towards the Waxing half of the year. In the darkest of nights there is still the silver star of hope and a promise of regeneration. The traditiona of bringing in the Holly,Ivy and Mistletoe at this time of the year is to symbolise that although the land looks cold and dead, life still persisits and the green of Spring and Summer will come again with the stregnthening of the Sun.

Welcome to the Seasonal Greeting Cards group!
This group is:
- a showroom for your very best Seasonal Greeting Cards, such as Christmas, New Year, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Halloween and other revolving holidays.
This group is not:
- a showroom for your good but general photography work such as winter images, your dogs, birds, flowers and so on unless it’s in direct relation to a seasonal holiday AND has writing (a greeting) on it.
- a showroom for birthday cards, condolences, and other greetings that do NOT have holiday character. Holiday means a season for everyone at the same time. A birthday is a very special day but not a holiday.
To keep quality high and cards sellable, entries will be moderated. Please allow a few days for viewing your work and please don’t be disappointed if it is refused. We do reserve the right to refuse images for holidays that have just passed (for example no christmas cards will be accepted in January.)
