The 7 Wonders Challenge

Please folks,

When adding entries for the Wonders Challenge, try and use the approach that if it were to be a wonder – it would still be there tomorrow, and for a long time after no doubt.

Example, a photograph of a tornado, hurricane, rain, clouds, sunrises, sunsets, waves etc, although awesome, wouldn’t be around for long.

If I were to say to someone – Hey, Aphrodite Rock is a wonder of the world – you must go see it – I would expect that if they did go see it, it would be just as I see it today. If I say to someone, Hey, there is a fabulous tornado over in London, you must go see it – it wouldn’t look too good if they found a few dandelions blowing on the breeze, instead of the tornado I saw a few weeks earlier would it :)

This one needs a little more than just something that is beautiful, ONLY, in that one moment :)

So generalised things are out. Cloud formations in their own right, are just cloud formations, but cloud formations over the Grand Canyon – well, you get my point :)

Please also remember – you cannot use any of the listed wonders of the world in this challenge. We are looking for new ones :)

The 7 wonders of the world are considered to be
• The Great Wall of China
• Peru’s Machu Picchu
• Petra in Jordan
• Brazil’s statue of Christ the Redeemer
• India’s Taj Mahal
• Mexico’s Chichen Itza pyramid
• The Colosseum in Rome

These will not be accepted into the challenge
