Ok, so here we all are, we all now that one day soon, a new challenge will be launched and I am thinking. |

How about a color.. Or a shape.. Maybe a scav hunt. Give a list of a few things and we need to find them and make an image, take a photo or submit a written piece with the list mentioned.. |
Maybe Food? There’s a food group out there, with some amazing artwork on it, and this challenge has the scope to have a wide range of images |

Oooh yes – forget what I said – I like the scav hunt idea. I think something that gets people to actually go out and think about what they’re going to post, or put up something they normally wouldn’t would be great. |

Food hahahaha no spam allowed …....................ooooooooooopps sorry could not resist |
LOL Blamo – go to the corner right now, and write 500 lines – I will not stir the pot. |
Sorry – must do homework before posting! |

My suggestion for this group would be to have specific challenges… for instance, instead of broad “water” comp.. it could be water droplets.. Instead of b&w it could be Portraits in B&W, or even more specific Faces instead of portrait. |

Okay, I’ve been a part of a group where we took turns coming up with a title for a pic that would be submitted for the next week. I believe we started with “Solitary”...we all had a week to come up with an image that could use that word for it’s title. The fun thing was that we had a real range of ideas that came out of this…solitary confinement…single things…card games…etc. We had “Forgotten”, “Strength”, “Anticipation”, etc…all terms that may give you an immediate idea but when you think on it for a while you realize you could interpret it many ways. We also had a “Guess what movie this is” contest where we each photographed things or scenes that pertained to a movie and then had a blast trying to see if we could stump each other! Anyway, it was a lot of fun and maybe it would be fun to try it here. Just a thought. Leslie |

I have recently gotten my road train licence which has upset one specific friend of my husband. His exact words were “it’s not fair, I am a bloke and a truck driver and I should of got mine first”, he is in fact a forklift operator who is a crap driver and now bitter too. Anyway he is compleately “jaded”. I think that his attitude and the controversy of the last few days in challenge cafe, this could be a fun project! Amanda |

I like Rachel Leigh’s suggestion: “_Instead of having “Flowers” as a competition you could have a specific flower, or a specific color flower, or even a macro of a specific color of flower….”“ . . . although not just for flowers, it could be applied to any category, i.e., buidlings (say buid, ings with lots of glass, or lots of columns, etc.), Landscapes (lots of hills, or valleys, etc.), this sort of thing. Rachel’s suggestion gets a big thumbs up from me. |

I participate in some challenges on the Sony Talk forum over at dPreview. I copied a list of the different subjects they had for future reference. I like “Abandoned” as subject. While being somewhat generic it is also fun to see how people interpret such a subject. 01. Beside the Seaside |

I loveeee that!!! Thanks for all the suggestions guys! |

I think a good subject would be eyes and just not peoploes eyes. Animals would be interesting too. But just the eyes, Not even the face. |

Specific rule for one of the running challenges: Picture must be taken during the challenge period. i.e. No digging through your personal stock library. A number of the challenge sites enforce this (if you feel the need to check rather than trust) by insisting that the meta data accompany the picture. I really like short challenges. You know, you have 24 hours in which to take and submit an image of…. oh, something like…. A Toilet Flushing, A Supermarket Display, An Old Car…... Great fun, especially on a Friday when you’re fidgety and don’t feel like working. Gets the creative juices flowing. |

that’s a nice idea DaBimage but what about people who use film? no metadata with film….. |
I’d like to see something gutsy. By gutsy I mean creating a space were more fringe images would get a look see. At the moment I would imagine than ‘nice’ images are coming to the surface and more edgy ones are somehow sitting in the back seats(although brilliant images and and great work in themselves). This kind of challenge would insist on quirky, insist on subversive and insist on ‘unsafe’ v’s safe images. I wonder if this is clear? |

@Juilee that’s a nice idea DaBimage but what about people who use film? no metadata with film….. Just post that it’s taken with film and incluede the info. I’m happy with the ‘trust’ thing. It’s the fun and challenge I’m all for. This kind of challenge caters for those who want to practice working to contract/assignment: “You must come up with a fantastic/creative image of ‘this’ by ‘then’ ”. Like Robert’s idea too. |

Regarding the metadata. From “another thread”;http://www.redbubble.com/groups/redbubble/forums/9/topics/14335-ipct-data We = Redbubble |

Great ideas folks, love the interaction going on in here. |

Yep, thanks I get that. Would offer to assist but I only have a small number of posts. |

How about a motion challenge? It is especially difficult to do that in photography. Or how about Ghosts or Myths? That would probably include models, but they can be found. |
Well said Julie…I aint no photographer as you know..I can do a snap..but nothing on a par with Real Photographers..so Painting has to be given a chance…not that I could even do that at the moment..lol!! |

@ Lynn – Motion has been done. See some of the entries here but I love the ghosts idea :) |
