This Williams FW07 was driven by the Australian F1 World Champion Alan Jones during the 1979 and 1980 seasons. / Alan was to drive this car to win the Drivers World Championship in 1980 through wins in the Argentine, French, British, Canadian, and United States Grand Prix. I took this shot at a recent historic event at Silverstone…and played about with it just a bit in Photoshop! / The car and sky were in the same original image, but I ‘introduced’ the bushes in the far distance from another image and brought the sky down a little in order to remove people, and other cars that were in the background. / I also had to be very patient, as every so often somebody would stop by and peer into the car getting in the way of my shot! I hope you like the result. Featured in ‘Cars, Motorbikes and Motorsports’ group Nikon D80. Nikkor 18-135mm. 1/1250 f8

Something that doesn’t happen to you every day – lucky enough to come across Brett Metcalfe – one of Australia’s (and Americas) fastest Motocross riders out riding with a few mates while taking a holiday back home in Mannum. / As you can see – horrible day – hot and dry – but was a great chance to try out a 400mm Sigma lens! Brett is in with a better than good chance of taking out arguably the worlds toughest supercross series this year in America – we wish him all the best! Straight out of the camera – Canon 400D 120/400mm Sigma – never going to be classes as a good shot, but the experience of trying to keep up was rewarding!!! Thanks for the chance Steve! /
