Taken as the sun set on the Windansea Beach in La Jolla, CA The main peak at Windansea is a classic reef break and has long been famous among the region’s most skilled surfers for its reliable waves and consistently good form. The geographic location of Windansea’s reefs is ideally situated to host a broad variety of swell directions, especially the south swells that often seem to elude other San Diego County, California beaches. During the summer months, when most locations are experiencing two-to-three feet surf, it isn’t unusual for Windansea to pick up six-to-eight foot surf. Sand Hill Cove, Point Lobos State Reserve, Carmel, CA I originally processed this photo of the beach in Point Lobos State Reserve as a color photo, but it was pretty drab and boring with very little color. I decided to give it a shot in black and white and I like it much better.
The Golden Gate bridge on a foggy day. I heard its normal for it to be foggy but I cant be sure I only been there twice so far and the first day was beautiful and clear. Today I decided to go and it was foggy. I took a different route and actually walked the bridge part way. It was a nice walk and hopefully I can go again before heading home (FLA) and it be a clear day so I can get some nice photos during the walk on the bridge. Kitty was helping me set up for a Still Life shot and at the end, she refused to move out of the way. According to her, “Still Life” does not mean a picture of inanimate objects, but rather a picture of a cat, or perhaps a kitten, being very still. At least she compromised by letting me add a piece of fruit. And so you have, by Kitty’s reckoning, the purrfect Still Life shot.
