First, let me say this cheap photo I took does this work NO justice (at least not nearly that which it deserves). Alexandra by Edouard Mouy (Black border Laminated Print) is an example of how a photograph can go beyond the simple image captured into great depths of humor, curiosity, and the great gambit of all emotions there are to be had. It makes me smile and at the same time think hard about exactly what this young woman (presumably Alexandra) has herself into. This was one of those images which I saw and knew immediately that I wanted a copy of… Edouard shows here an amazing gift for his chosen field, and this image could as easily fit in an editorial setting as it could in a museum of modern art. Don’t take this horrible little snap-shot as proof, please go see the work for yourself. I have a sneaking suspicion that not only have I purchased here something I will have displayed for my life to come, but also something which will hold quite a bit of value one day in the not so distant future.
