the remains of a causeway along the shores of the north Atlantic / Nova Scotia, Canada / Nikon D40
The Aspotogan Peninsula is on the south shore of Nova Scotia, Canada, about 35 miles from Halifax, the provincial capital. It has miles of beautiful beaches, coves and little harbours like this one at North West Cove, a tiny fishing community on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean. Beautiful at any time of year, my favourite time is the Fall, when the surroundings forests are in full colour. Taken in October, 2005, with a Sony DSCF828 camera. /

A quick overview of my first year on RB and a tip of the hat to those that made it special.
Nov. 11, 2009..the end of my first year on RB. Thanks to the hosts for featuring these two images to make up a total of 183 for the year. I am very amazed at that, as it shows that I must have done a few things right! There were also a number of Challenge wins, and some “Top-Tens”, for which I’m also grateful. I’ve made some great new friends all over the world, viewed tons of beautiful art, and learned some new techniques and ways to hopefully do a better job in the future. Thanks to everyone who honoured me with a Feature, made a comment, sent a BM, saved a Favourite, or added me to their Watchlist. It’s been a really great experience! “Memoriam” was featured in A Place To Call Home / / “Christmas Cactus” was featured in Live and Let Live /
A place for artists currently living in Atlantic Canada (New Brunswick, PEI, Nova Scotia…and yes, even Newfoundland) to show the rest of the world what incredible art and talent we produce over here. This is also a chance for us to get to know each other a little better, arrange collaborations and even organize meet-ups and excursions.
All disciplines are welcome!
If you are a resident of the Maritimes, work can be of any theme. Non-residents may also join but your work should be about the Canadian Maritimes
There will be no limits on number of images, but for visual appeal, please try and limit your uploads to 2-3 every few days. This will help ensure equal exposure for all of us and keep things looking nice and pretty on the site. :)
I will put work through an approval process simply to ensure that work either is from Atlantic Canadian artists or has a Canadian Maritime theme.
