Normandy by Foxman27
The beach landings on D-Day are an inevitable part of our post-WWII culture. The heavy impasto in the centre of this piece represents the transition from ocean to land.
-
Donna Lee by Sandy McClearn
The stern of a Cape Island style fishing boat reflects in the calm water of Lunenburg Harbour, Nova Scotia.

Chimney Red by Sandy McClearn

Waiting at the Bridge by Foxman27
Every workweek evening, my wife makes the trip from Dartmouth to Halifax, picking me up at my office so we can drive home together. I imagine her view – looking north-west at the bridge – while waiting in rush-hour traffic.
-
She Loves Me by Foxman27
Count the petals – you’ll always find love!
-
Dory by pturner
A freshly painted dory in Lunenburg harbour early May 2008
-
Silva by Scott Ruhs
This is a more true version of the Tall Ship Silva. Some people will prefer this version, and some will prefer the more treated version. Darlene and I will be married on this ship in Sept, 2008.
-
Sunset Ferry by Stephen Ryan
Bell Island ferry arriving at sunset on a fall afternoon.
-
Chantal's After Effects in NL by Stephen Ryan
This is a picture of the flooding after Chantal came to visit in early August 2007. Needless to say there was much damage done.

Before Dawn at the Narrows by Stephen Ryan
I woke up early on my day off to catch the sun as it rises around the Narrows. I enjoyed catching this picture. I do need to mention it was a little cool this morning and I had to keep moving to stay warm. :)
About This Group
A place for artists currently living in Atlantic Canada (New Brunswick, PEI, Nova Scotia…and yes, even Newfoundland) to show the rest of the world what incredible art and talent we produce over here. This is also a chance for us to get to know each other a little better, arrange collaborations and even organize meet-ups and excursions.
All disciplines are welcome!
If you are a resident of the Maritimes, work can be of any theme. Non-residents may also join but your work should be about the Canadian Maritimes
There will be no limits on number of images, but for visual appeal, please try and limit your uploads to 2-3 every few days. This will help ensure equal exposure for all of us and keep things looking nice and pretty on the site. :)
I will put work through an approval process simply to ensure that work either is from Atlantic Canadian artists or has a Canadian Maritime theme.
If you would like to help me moderate this group or have any ideas or suggestions, please scoot us a bubblemail.
