Battle of the Hair by Kenji
Here is the basic idea. I’ve gotten tired of seeing so many edits and copied pictures, once and for all I have to get this out here. If Raditz were to go SSJ 3 His hair would get longer AND his eyebrows would disappear. but also this came from the idea of how Goku’s hair becomes as long as Raditz’s when he is SSJ3 but no mention is made. So I just felt like getting this out there. I’m actually quite a Raditz fan. ;3 On a side note the colors are dulled down because they seem to blend better with the background and it’s easier on the eyes. I don’t own Dragonball z, it is created by Akira Toriyama. This is just fanart. ;3

Team Orange! by tsubakituesday
The two parts of what makes up ‘Team orange’ Satsuma’s colored hair bits are suppose to be light orange, but turned pink when I scanned it… At least her hair stayed brown, this time. Scanners are frustrating… It’s also the first time I’ve drawn Etsuya, the one on the right with glasses. These characters are strangely fun to draw…

Demoness by MaKayla Songer
I put more work into inking this than usual. I did the sketch in my sketchbook, tore it out, put tracing paper over it, and inked over the tracing which I scanned to color. The actual coloring part took suprisingly little time, and I’m really rather happy with it. This was inspired by these two gothic girls I saw at Hot Topic. They both had kind of that hair style (though one had dark purple hair and one had black hair with a bright red chunk it it).

When Legends Fall by ch3rrybl0ss0m
The Phoenix and the Dragon, mythical creatures revered for centuries. Both creatures of fire; their battles ravage the land and engulf the sky, a never ending war with no beginning and no end… Until now. Omen: Purple Phoenix copyright to me, no stealing. / This took a few days to do, mostly because I didn’t know how to set it out. I was going to use this as a background for a picture of Omen, but when I put her in front of them it just didn’t look right. Besides, the focus was directed towards her rather than the Phoenix and Dragon – but it would be a waste to cover this up. GOING TO EDIT A LITTLE – don’t panic when it changes!! I just had an idea how to make it better!! :D

About This Group

Burst is about all that is anime and manga, cell shading/painting and line drawings, and the digital equivalents.
Anime is a Japanese word that was derived from the English word, ‘animation’ and is essentially the Japanese adaptation of Disney films after WW2. Anime almost immediately evolved into its own very distinct film genre and into what it has become today.
Don’t think you’ve ever watched anime? Think again. Since the mid to late 60’s anime series such as Speed Racer, Robotec, and many others have been imported by countries around the world with replacement dialogue in the importer’s native language. Remember those weird names in the credits? Those are Japanese.
Manga are Japanese comics done in much the same style as Anime, but are often more detailed than anime as more time is spent on each individual frame.
