This is how I feel about the justice system sometimes, and my lawyer friend asked me to draw it for her.
The Wizard of Oz was the kind of story that has stirred the imagination for over a 100 years now. It was written in 1900 and made into a movie in 1939. I like each of the characters, but always felt sorry for the Tinman. He wanted a heart. He wanted to feel loved and to give love. But how did he feel before he found he had a heart after all? Lonely? Empty? Lost? Just thinking again. :o) Let’s pay homage to a great story that has stirred the imagination so well. Created in Incendia using a background of my own from my photography and some work in Photoshop. Featured in: Style! Class! Elegance! Excellence! and Digital Brushstrokes.

I wish the female was one of the good guys but she’s a villain and in the OVA shes the one who beats the crap out of Sho/Guyver 1 next to her. Classic anime, fun times and this is also the 5th version I plan to create Dark Female Guyver 3 wish me luck. Oh fyi designs for the planets I created in Bryce and used Poser for the characters and photoshop the scene with bit of color enchancing effects for the stars and all, yeah I’m nice like that, lol!!!!
This piece is about the history of the native american indians who gave prayers and thanks to the animals they needed for food, transportation, warmth etc. I took this photo and then used brushwork to make the designs on the skull and desaturated the main image and darkened the top half of the background to make it more dramatic. FEATURED in THE WILD WEST SHOW !!!!
Aboriginal songwriter, musician & singer, Archie Roach, was a recent guest artist, accompanied by his wife (singer/songwriter) Ruby Hunter, at a recent community Family Fun Day, organised/hosted by yours truly, colleagues and volunteers. This is one of many photos I took of our performers, events and people throughout the day. The original photo was of Archie on stage with a somewhat boring marquee as backdrop, so I decided to put the emphasis on Archie, and ‘spruce’ it up a bit, blending it with one of my cloud/sky photographs, and re-working the colour and lighting. I have the honour and the pleasure of knowing Archie, and have had several enjoyable opportunities to share time, conversation and a few laughs with him over the years. His life and testimony is more than just interesting, and much of him as a person — his depth and sincerity, his views and experiences — are expressed through his music/lyrics. I am proud to know him as a gentle-man and a friend. As performers, Archie and Ruby have travelled the world stage, and continue to be in high demand, attending the smallest to the largest of festivals and functions, here and overseas, although Archie is inclined to not want to travel “too far” these days, and prefers spending as much time as possible with his children and ‘large’ family, residing in a small & quiet rural/coastal town in Victoria (Australia). In my view, Archie is a unique Australian, and a walking testimony to the integrity and resilience of the Aboriginal spirit, and the genuine spirit of Australia — as ‘true blue’ as you’re ever going to find. ~ Archie singing From Paradise here
Edited in Photoshop with several filters and one photograph.
I always do some kind of art with my senior portraits and I never know whats going to happen. That’s what I love about art!
Since time immemorial, the Way to the Tjukurritja (Dreamtime) has been maintained and honoured through various rites-of-passage, and an ensuing disciplined life that revolved around necessary sacred ritual. Instructions from the “agents” (Ancestral Beings) of the Kurrunpa (the life force in all), were entrusted to the initiated; the enlightened, and the custodial. Often, these “messianic-like” people, living within the context of their societies and respective territories, were referred to as “people of High Esteem” … the medicine wo/men and Law men of their respective communities. With the advent and embracing of the Agricultural; Industrial; Scientific and Techno-logical Ages respectively, coupled with the spread of the resultant “Lost Tribes” and colonisation, the demise of knowledge-enabled aboriginal peoples of this world is now upon us. Some of the essential elements of Tjukurritja Tjukurrpa (Dreamtime Story) have survived in the newer societies, though much is lost through the tyranny of distance, erosion, eradication, exploitation, and the evolvement and enforcement of earth-bound time. Even though there have been many attempts to encapsulate and explain the Tjukurritja’s vitalness in definitive terms, the Dreamtime has evaded contemporary analysis and continues to elude the intelligentsia and the selfish “seekers” of the civilised world. ~ Excerpted from my short essay Before Its Gone
The best / I can / Do Is / Arrange / Pieces / Of feeling. / . / — / . / Pre Processing in some furniture store where there stood a paper maché figure. And months later in a flowershop where a dusty potted flower drooped under a dim bare bulb. Each of them were captured with my Canon 40D. Post Processing happened in CS4 last night with the help of Topaz and AlienSkin to tease out the palette I felt, and to tease in the shadows and highlights that I found in my mind. / . / — / . /
