( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEUWFvT16f8 ) This is from an original oil painting of an angel that I did about 7 years ago…it was never finished, it was left in my shed and was in really bad shape…so I took a picture of it, brought it into Corel painter and photoshop and reworked it. The original painting is still in the shed, I was glad to be able to bring it back to life and I’m happy with the results. My grandfather passed away a week ago, I painted this as a memorial, in a bit of a rush and with a deadline of taking it to the funeral – which is kind of a nice touch as he was a sign writer by trade and a great landscape painter on the side. Was interesting painting a subject close to me that was a big part of my life growing up, hard at times, but lots of good memories. I took the photo reference myself, last August.
