What am I doing to sell my Artwork?

Other than redbubble, which I have an amazing total of 0 sales so far this year! lol Certainly not going to be able to retire on this little venture! With redbubble the true gift for me has been establishing contact, and receiving feedback from artists, this has helped my growth as an artist. I have not had an exhibition, but have attended a couple of fairs, and sold a couple of paintings. I have also had a couple sell by commission. A rather hit and miss affair, so if you are seeking tips on how to make your sales sky rocket, I am not the best person to ask! lol |

Hi to all S.A. from, PHOTOJ. I sell a lot of my work in Tasmania because thats where I live. I come over here every three to four months to see my Son’s and Granddaughter. I use to live in S.A. Adelaide-Norwood. When my boy’s were in their mid 20’s and they were with partners I moved to Tassie Down Under and started a new Hobbie. In S.A. I was a Chef and worked in Public Hospitals and Private and then took on some of the Hotels. Later the boy’s needed me to have weekends at home. So I gave up my Trade and worked for Holden-Elizabeth. However I needed more with my life, so when the boy’s were old enough I made the move. While in Tassie I did a Photojournalist course for a few years and work with the Paper over their and now I mainly just take Photo’s and Sell them. I don’t earn a lot of money but I do get a lot of enjoyment and I am at peace with what I do now. Tourism Gift Shop are my Targets for selling! So say Gida on Redbubble-photoj |

Hi to all. RB has actually been quite good for me, averaging a couple of sales a month and then six this month. They are almost always prints, seems very little happens in the cards line. I promote RB and my own site where I can by use of business cards with the link on the back. Also sell quite well through the couple of exhibitions I have done in company with Smarti77 and things still happen – well after the event. Managed to sell two privately printed and framed images to a Corporate in Adelaide last week who actually saw them nearly 10 months ago at an exhibition!! I heavily promote the ability to do up individual calendars to suit individual needs and that seems to do well. I have two motels with images hanging in the offices now as well as my wife’s shop, Alternate Life in Millicent and all three keep the turnover going. I recommend everyone finds a niche outlet near then, gets a couple framed and puts a portfolio of work in the venue in an album. This creates sales or at least interest which grows. Good luck to everyone and always willing to speak on a Bubblemail if you have any ideas or questions. Steve |
