This is where you give your suggestions, thoughts and ideas for the direction of the Adelaide/SA Group. We’re looking for new ways to keep everyone happy, happening and here. Maybe you’ve seen something happening in another group you are in … and want to try it here. Please tell us about it. Don’t start new topics. Just add your comments to this one long thread of ideas and suggestions. Moderators will start new topics as good ideas rise to the surface! |

|

Hey Mick, thanks for asking; I’ve altered the description to answer your question. I hope that helps! |

Craig, thanks for all that. Despite not being exactly what we’re looking for, they are certainly great ideas for photographs! You’ve got me thinking about more travel! (And you’ve got me thinking about a new series of images…) |

Stephen I guess for us country people any events or meetings you have would be great but we probably need a fair bit of notice, (400k’s away) I recently dropped in to Old Tailem Town between Tailem Bend and Murray Bridge. For those into nostalgia it could make an excellent trip out of the city. Really enjoying being involved here on RB and whilst the group is predominantly Adelaide based I am sure there will be more and more country members joining! Thanks for hosting. Steve |

Perhaps mini-meets might help some people? So if 2- 5 people can organise a meet-up for say “The beach” or “The ex-oil refinery” or “Suburbs with old houses” etc. Big meet-ups might be more rare, but a certain level of interest could be maintained by going on a few mini-meets… then posting the results here to inspire others. I think organising prizes for comps is a more long term thing- maybe someone could sponsor a prize like an A4 gatorboard print or something once a month?? It seems a bit beyond my resources at the moment. |

I like the mini meet ups idea. Something like a shout box so someone could have a quick no fuss way of saying “Going to Strath in the morning, anyone want to tag along or meet up there?”. That sort of thing. |

What about some sort of topic challenge. Something like setting a topic like “On the farm” We get a week or three to get our best farm shot, post it and then someone picks a winner? |
|
|
love the idea on the challenges, I used to have a website where I used to do the challenges and it was very popular, what I did was get people to email suggestions and I would post them in order of receiving them and give a week to complete the challenge, It was a lot of fun. I also like the shout out box idea :0) |
